ABOUT THE GROUP
A classic duo group, Elim is formed by two sisters, Dae Hyung Ahn (piano) and Dae Hee Ahn (violin). Officially founded in 2016 with the release of their first album of hymn transcriptions, Elim chose their name after a location mentioned in the Hebrew Bible where the Israelites camped during their Exodus. At Elim, the Israelites found oasis and palm trees, which gave them rest and comfort during their long journey in the desert. Like the refreshing spring water and the soothing shades of the trees, the group wishes to use their music to provide a place of rest and peace for their listeners.

Their first album, <Elim, Vol. 1>, contains nine tracks of their own original hymn arrangements, released by SONY Music Korea. Three years later, they have released another nine tracks through WIND Records. Having brought their music worldwide to countries like Korea, Turkey, Dominican Republic, and Jordan, they have received acclamation for their genuine worship, exceptional musicianship, and original transcriptions.

Upon immigrating to the United States early on in their childhood to pursue their musical studies, both sisters are graduates from The Juilliard School. Dae Hyung subsequently received her doctoral degree from The Rutgers University's Mason Gross School of the Arts and Dae Hee is currently pursuing her doctoral degree from Yale University's School of Music.
